Policies
Delivery
All decals are made to order, and whilst we endeavour to ship all items as quickly as possible, our dispatch times may vary depending on order volumes. We therefore provide the following esimates:
Standard orders: Despatched within 2 to 4 business days
Express Orders: We will endeavour to despatch by end of next business day
If there are any unforeseen delays, we will contact you as soon as possible and discuss the situation to ensure that you are as happy as possible with the outcome.
Customs and Tax Charges
You are responsible for any and all taxes, customs and handling fees imposed at the destination country. With over 100 countries that we send products to, we are unable to stay across the border policy of every country and their postal systems.
Items Unable to Be Delivered or Refused by the Customer
We understand that sometimes you are unable to collect/accept the item that was sent or there may have been a problem with the address information. If this happens, please be aware that it can take an extended period for the item to be returned to our Australian location, however any returns are at the discretion of the distant postal service who may decided to dispose of items.
As soon as we receive the returned item, we will contact you and discuss what has happened and what we can do to resolve the problem in the best possible way for us all. If you decide that you would like a refund, then we will have to wait until the item is returned in 'as new' condition before confirming that a refund is applicable.
Please also note that there will be a 15% restocking fee applied to any refund, to cover our costs in having the item returned.
Incorrect or Damaged Product
If your order arrives and it is not right, we will fix it, we promise.
Please let us know ASAP if anything from your order arrives damaged. Please keep all original shipping containers and take pictures if possible, as it may help us better understand the issue you are facing.
Damaged item claims may need to be referred to the shipping carrier and we ask that customers be patient, as sometimes this process can take longer than any of us would like!
Returns and Refund Policy
You can return any new, unused and unaltered item within 30 days of delivery of your item. However, you must inform us of your intention to return the item with 12 days of delivery.
Please Note: There is a 7% restocking fee for any return and refund of an item due to a change of mind. This is due to the banking and processing fees that we incur on every sale even when the item is returned to us.
Please note the following information for returns and refunds:
- Returned products must be in new, unused condition and include the original box and/or packaging with all packaging included.

This excludes our custom name decals that are non refundable due to their custom nature which means we are unable to re-use them in any way if they were returned to us.

Once your return is received and inspected by Little Tall Tales Studio (usually within 2 business days of receipt), your refund will be processed and a credit will be applied to your credit card or original payment method. Please note that depending on your credit card company, it may take an additional 2-10 business days after your credit is applied for it to be posted to your account.
- You are responsible for all shipping costs associated with getting your order back to our Australian location.
- For customers in any location, you have the option of using the carrier of your choice to return your order to us. We recommend shipping with a method which includes tracking and insurance for your return shipment as we cannot be responsible for any returns that are lost in transit.
- All shipments must be prepaid; packages shipped with outstanding fees payable will be rejected.
- Any decals that show signs of use (wear, dirt, pet hair, scuffing, mounting, etc) or otherwise is in a condition other than it was received cannot be returned.

As above, we heavily recommend that you purchase tracking for your returned goods. Little Tall Tales Studio is not responsible for packages lost during return shipment. You will receive a confirmation email from Little Tall Tales when your return is processed which will include the full details of any refund.
Cancellation Policy
If you change your mind, it’s no problem at all. However, as we try and get orders together as quickly as possible to ensure you get the decals in as little time as possible, we ask that you notify us of any cancellation within 12 hours.
If we receive notification after this,we cannot guarantee that the item hasn’t been produced (they are made to order) or that it hasn’t been shipped, in which case we are unable to cancel the order.
Exchanges
If you would like to exchange your decal after receiving, we have the following conditions:
- Please contact us within 12 days of delivery. Exchanges are only possible for decals of the same or lower value (a partial refund will be processed to cover the difference).
- As with the refund procedure, the returned products must be in new, unused condition and include the original box and/or packaging with all packaging included.
- You are responsible for all shipping costs associated with getting your order back to our Australian location.
- All shipments must be prepaid; packages shipped with outstanding fees payable will be rejected.

Copyright and IP
When you buy a decal, you are buying the product and not the right to reproduce the item or the graphic. All of our artwork and designs are unique and owned by us.
Health and Safety
Our products are designed to decorate surfaces for children’s rooms and nurseries, but the products are not toys, and we recommend that you keep them out of reach of children under 36 months as the small parts in some decal sets may pose a choking hazard.
Once your baby can get up on its hands and knees and is up and about, we would recommend that you review and move anything that may now be within reach. Of course, moving our repositionable decals is not a problem, but for ease you may want to move things out of the way from the start.
Environmental
All consumables we buy as a Studio are bought locally, and are, wherever possible, recycled or biodegradable. We recycle all of our ink cartridges and keep our energy use to a minimum. Our decals are reusable, PVC and pthalates free, non toxic and biodegradable over time. The self adhesive fabric material that we use passes all tests for traces of lead.
We have tested our decals on as many different wall surfaces as possible. We have never found them to leave stickiness or residue of any kind, and have consistent positive feedback from our customers regarding this. However, we can not guarantee that this will be the case for every wall. We do not recommend using them on walls with any sort of damage or degraded paint, or on freshly painted walls. You should wait approximately 1 month for the paint to fully dry before applying decals.
Equally we cannot guarantee that our decals will stick to all wall surfaces i.e. heavily textured walls and non stick paints are naturally more resistant to decals being placed on them.
